Visited IT bright and early-9- but poor Emily was up at 5:30 so there are no complaints here.
Then quick tour and started work in outpatient rehab w Solomon, PT Extraordinaire. He's a legend around here l helped with a few little ones in the special needs clinic. Mostly CP, some birth trauma.
At lunchtime we packed up four unassembled wheelchairs and stopped for lunch. Deryl " I'll have what he's having" enjoyed tomato stewed goat!
We headed to an integrated children's school. I helped Solomon, Dean Cowles and Brian put together and size 4 wheelchairs. These kiddos were slightly older than the morning crew, also predominantly w CP and some congenital challenges.
Great day!
So much camaraderie amongst short term visitors and longer term and full timers and native Kenyan staff. Great meals served. Terrific energy and dedication amongst staff to make do with less than optimal resources.
